Yolunda Danette Jenerette

Elder Yolunda Danette Jenerette, affectionately known as Yogi, was born on Wednesday,
December 13, 1967, to Mrs. Betty Potts-Holloway and the late Mr. Johnny W. Potts. As gracefully
as she lived, she gracefully departed this life to enter into eternal rest on the afternoon of Saturday,
November 9, 2019, at Carolinas Medical Center.
Yolunda was born and resided in Charlotte, North Carolina. She and her sister were known as,
“Betty’s Girls” and were always challenged to live productive lives. She was a product of the
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public School System and later attended North Carolina Agricultural and
Technical State University. Additionally, she led an active professional life. She was an educator
at Young World, Angel’s Childcare and was eventually promoted to director for the Childcare
Network. In later years, she was employed by Cigna Healthcare and the LASH Group.
