Virgil Lockhart, 82, of Camden, N.C., passed away

 on Monday, January 06, 2025

He was born on April 16, 1942, in Parkersburg, WV 

to the late Lawrence and Alice (Hall) Lockhart

He is also preceded in death by his sisters

Marlene, Barbera, and Erma Brothers

Ernie, Wirt, Rosco, Roger, Larry, Wayne, Garry, and

 Jerry

his daughters Cindy Bishop and Voilet White 

his son Valeano Rouse and grandchild Grover

Clayton started working as a mechanic at the age of 15 

and made a career out of it he taught his wife, 

sons and daughters how to work on vehicles. He loved 

to fish, picnic, play the banjo, and guitar, and work on cars 

inventing stuff usually had something to do with 

mechanics and of course, his family and friends.

Clayton is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Alice Lockhart

sister: Elsie Horton

sons: Ernie, Manuel, Kelvin, Racion (Debbie), Windel and

 Clayton Jr Daughters: Tina (Phil), Tammy, Floraressa,

 Berarena, Kay, Mindy (Dean), Jennifer (Donnie) and Lenora 

He had 54 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and

 4 great-great-grandchildren and 

numerous of cousins, nieces, and nephews

A service to honor Clayton has not been finalized at this time
