Sammy Lee Johnson, 83, 
Passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Hunter Woods Nursing Home in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Sammy was born July 4, 1934, to Willie and Minnie Heata in Monroe, North Carolina. He graduated from Monroe High School.
He will always be remembered as a hard-working man who provided for his family.

He enjoyed cooking on his grill, sitting his on his back porch.

He loved cars and owned a few classic models. 
He was preceded in death by his sister, Willy Mae Coffey and three children, Sammy Lee Johnson Jr., Gloria Jean Johnson, and Shirly Johnson. 
He leaves cherished memories to wife, Jessie Mae Johnson, to his children Anne Johnson, Elizabeth “Queen” Johnson, David Johnson and Jacqueline Johnson and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
